By day, ML Brookshire (Eghan) née Blay-Miezah is a Global Multi-Faceted Communications and IT Executive, SAFe Certified Agile Coach, Chief Scrum Master (SoS), Cybersecurity and Brand Marketing Enthusiast in the tech space.

She also runs an international non-profit organization that Rehabilitates Mentally Challenged individuals in Ghana. Her NGO provides Education, Employment, and Housing (EEH Model) to ofttimes abandoned patients at Psychiatric Hospitals when they are transitioned into her Rehab Facility upon recovery.

2 additional entities of her business conglomerate are namely, THRIVE, LLC a mobile app AI-trigerred platform that supports foreigners that relocate to the US to navigate their benefits and the app also culminates into a handheld device that serves as a one-stop-shop to guide migrants as they chart new territories.

Thirdly, ML4Lyfe, LLC is her Brand Marketing Consultancy and Coaching business with all 3 under the umbrella, ML4Lyfe Group, headquartered in Houston, Texas.

ML’s professional experiences and accolades were acquired at 7 Fortune 500 companies in America, as she parlayed her MBA degree into a winning repertoire of accomplishments within the Agile space.

In 2008, when Former President Barach Obama was on the cover, ML was featured on Page 108 of Ebony Magazine with a full-paged article on her “Welfare to WallStreet” story delineating how she overcame unsurmountable challenges.

After over 20 years in a Marketing and Communications career, ML seamlessly transitioned into the realm of IT as a whole a few years ago. She shaped the technical and operations strategy for Samsung, which culminated into a Certificate of Merit within a 3-year timeframe.

Her recent certification is the PSM as a Scrum Master. At earlier positions, she standardized the strategic planning processes to better integrate Agile and Lean Management methodologies and became Six Sigma Black Certified with General Electric.

At GE, ML modernized client communication and demand management processes with the goal of achieving end-to-end operational excellence. She has been able to optimize policies and procedures, perform risk assessments utilizing a myriad of frameworks; and has also sat on the auditing side of the table within her career.

As Director and Project Lead on various projects, ML has showcased a knack for consultations and strong interpersonal skills amongst her peers and upper-level management as an Agilist. She leads by example and epitomizes the collaborative Servant Leader and ultra-manager that works within a 360-degree spectrum to assist junior staff with tasks; and ply herself ardently at assigned responsibilities entreated by her stakeholders and varying clients.

Always wearing several hats and constantly sharpening her toolbelt of Agile skills, ML has been able to garner the trust, respect, and loyalty of several team members. She has continually cemented quality into the organizational culture and fabric of the companies for which she has worked; and she enjoys the rigors of Scrum amidst the stringent people management hindrances, personality challenges, self-governing constraints, and interpersonal requirements of certain projects.

At Uganda Telecom, during a U.S. expatriate contract, ML became the youngest Chief Marketing Officer within the C-Suite at the age of 32 before being poached by Billionaire Telecom Mogul, Mike Adenuga of Globacom Nigeria to work in Brand Marketing operations at GLO Mobile Ghana Limited in Accra in 2012.

ML graduated summa cum laude from Spelman College and proceeded to business school at Clark Atlanta University for her MBA on full scholarship at both institutions. She earned her CRM, PSM and CSSBB certification in Six Sigma whilst voluntarily working on several community service projects with Hands on Atlanta, United Way, and the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI), Toastmasters, Rotary International amongst others; all throughout her college years to present.

She is passionate about the essence of Inclusion in all arenas and presently speaks globally for the TEDx platform.

ML is presently happily divorced and engaged to be married a second time 😊 in 2022 with two adult children named Skye and Raine aged 23 and 20, respectively, as of 2023.

She relishes family time by playing chess with her kids, attending jazz concerts, movies, plays, writing blogs, poetry, and enjoying the Opera. She also speaks 2 international languages, plays the piano, and loves to collect artifacts and art pieces on any given Sunday.
